The mission of the 100 Black Men Of West Texas, Inc. is to improve the quality of life for all residents of Lubbock, Texas and West Texas with emphasis on empowering African-Americans.

Scholarship Program

As a result of the rising cost of higher education and the increasing demand for student financial support, it is our desire to enhance our giving which will allow us to continue reaching and supporting more young people in 2026.


The 100 Black Men of West Texas, Inc. Scholarship award is open to 100 Black Men Chapter mentees and affiliates who are preparing to pursue or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree on a full-time basis. Mentees/Affiliates may major in any discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
  • All Lubbock County Seniors are eligible for first-time scholarships
  • Currently or planning to be enrolled in the Fall semester of 2026-2027 academic year as a full-time undergraduate student.
  • Maintain full-time status during entire 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Selected applicants will be qualified mentees or affiliates with a proven financial need.

Scholarship Awards range from $2,500-$5,000
