The mission of the 100 Black Men Of West Texas, Inc. is to improve the quality of life for all residents of Lubbock, Texas and West Texas with emphasis on empowering African-Americans.

Youth Mentoring

Mentoring is the cornerstone of what The 100 brings to the community by guiding youth in life experiences, fostering a positive self-perception and self-respect, encouraging excellence in education, and the pursuit of positive life-long goals. We partner with the Lubbock Game Warden Association and dump about 1,000lbs of fish in the Mae Simmons Lake for families to catch.

Scholarship Gala

The scholarship gala is an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of our scholarship recipients. Over the past 29 years, we have provided over $450,000 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors and continuing college students thanks to your support.

Scholarship Application

In 2022, with the generous support from our sponsors and donors, we were able to issue college scholarships to 10 impressive and highly deserving high school graduates and 8 continuing college students. As a result of the rising cost of higher education and the increasing demand for student financial support, it is our desire to enhance our giving which will allow us to continue reaching and supporting more young people in 2023.
